Pucón is a well known resort area north of Futaleufu and significantly south of Santiago. It is in the lakes region of Chile surrounded by rivers, volcanos and of course, lakes. This area is also very famous for its unique forest of Araucaria trees. These trees have been rigorously protected by the government of Chile as they cannot be cut down nor can they be sold for wood. DM acquired and protects about 250 acres within an important corridor of this ancient Arucaria forest.
